About Cynthia Staley
Cindi Staley enjoys photographing God's creation: beautiful landscapes, flowers (macro), wildlife and, especially, West Virginia and Virginia scenery/animals/points of interest. She also enjoys photographing patterns in nature, architecture and American Civil War reenactments.
Cindi served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps, after graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from West Virginia University. She has worked in the fields of security,corrections and Social Work. Cindi is currently the photographer at Fairmont State University.
She was fortunate to meet Arnout Hyde, Jr. (a great West Virginia professional photographer) at a Civil War reenactment where he was very encouraging (and inspirational) to her pursuing her love of photography, especially by publishing one of her pictures in Wonderful West Virginia Magazine.
Cindi was excited to have one of her Civil War reenactment images chosen to be part of the Civil War displays at Independence Hall in Wheeling, WV. It was used to create a wall mural where visitor's can "step into" history, and be photographed with a Union Infantry unit marching at Gettysburg.
